Blu-Ray DVDs

The library now has Blu-ray DVDs, a disc format for displaying high definition (HD) video. A Blu-ray player is required to view these DVDs.

The Blu-rays are shelved with the regular DVDs in a fairly bright blue container that is smaller than the DVD holder. They have a sticker at the top of the spine that says “Blu-ray.”

Three Blu-rays* may be checked out for a week on one card.

*Since regular DVDs and Blu-ray DVDs are the same format, you are allowed three DVDs in any combination for one week on one card.
(For example: one regular DVD and two Blu-ray DVDs would equal the three DVDs on one card)
