"Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War" is a traveling exhibition that will come to the Lawton Public Library February 29, 2012-April 13, 2012. We are proud to be one of 200 libraries chosen to host this exhibit.
The following 10 minute video gives interesting and detailed information about the exhibit.
The exhibition was developed by the National Constitution Center in collaboration with the American Library Association. It travels around the country with funds provided by the National Endowment for Humanities grant: great ideas brought to life.

Library Closed on Halloween
No, we aren't closing for a Trick-or-Treat celebration. Our Interim Library Director, Assistant City Manager Bryan Long, explains it clearly in the following email:
Please be advised that due to required training to implement the new and improved electronic/online catalog system the Library will not be open to the public on October 31st. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however, we are confident that you will agree that once completed this system will provide an invaluable service to the patrons of our Library.
Thank you for your understanding,
Bryan P. Long
Assistant City Manager
